Obituary

Reid- Alan Bruce 64, of Westmont passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2021.  Born on Dec. 22, 1956. Preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Valerie Reid (Polca) and Parents Edward and Jane Moskal.  Brothers Douglas and Edward Moskal.  Survived by his daughter Brittany Reid-Thomas, Rusty Thomas grandchildren Ethan, Eli, Isabella and Anie. Son Christopher Reid, granddaughter Val Reid.  Apprentice and dear friend Michael Shuman.  Brothers and Sisters and many nieces and nephews.   Alan graduated from WHHS in 1974 the University of Pittsburgh in 1980 and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1985. Alan was a member of Christ the Savior Cathedral.  Alan was a very active member of the local NRA and the Tremont Club, the Croatian Hall, and many other local clubs. The caring and compassionate services at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home will continue as they have for 100+ years as his daughter Brittany Reid-Thomas will carry on her father’s legacy with the help of Michael Shuman.  A viewing will be held on Sunday Jan. 24, 2021 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and also on Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Moskal-Reid Funeral Home.  Panachida will be held on 7pm on Monday.  A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11am at Christ the Savior Catherdal.
