Hagens, David L., 43, of Johnstown, went home to be with our Lord on June 29, 2023. Born on
July 7, 1979, in Johnstown, son of the late Harry P. Hagens and Lora J. (Jones) Kline. Preceded
in death by his father, stepfather, Donald E. Kline; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Elinor
(Jean) Jones; paternal grandparents, Calvin and Agnes Blair. In addition to his mother, David is
survived by fiancé, Donna Jean Rogers; son David, Jr., Maryland; daughters Kenzie and
Lillyann, Johnstown; sisters, Dawn (Craig Dunmeyer) Hagens; Amanda (Ronald) Graham;
Diane (Michael Ohler) Feather; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins,
extended family and friends. He had a special place in his heart for all his nieces and nephews,
especially Elizabeth (Devonte) Jordon and Michael (Felicia) Sauro; whom he helped raise. David
enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and just being in nature. He had a profound love for wolves
and the Cherokee Indian ways of life. He had a unique sense of humor and loved to make
everyone laugh. He also expressed himself through his love of music when he couldn’t find the
words to say. He was a man of many talents; a jack of all trades, but master of none. He was a
loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone who knew him. He had a heart of gold
and would help anyone, even if it was his last. He loved spending time with his family and will
continue to be loved and missed by all who knew him.
As per David’s request there will not be a viewing. A memorial service will be disclosed by his
family at a later date.
