Dennis worked for many years as a Civil Engineer, Construction Foreman, Project Manager, and Estimator for various companies and government offices in DC/MD/VA. He worked on projects as varied as designing and building bridges, building office buildings, homes, home remodeling and building a several block long park on H street in Washington, just a short distance from the white house.
Dennis was an avid golfer and interested in both playing and watching golf. He enjoyed baseball and would jump at the chance of seeing any team play in person. He also followed many different teams during baseball season and could recite statistics for just about any player if you asked him that question. Or even if you didn’t ask! Dennis was well versed in history, a trait he inherited from our father, who taught history for some 35 years. Dennis had an extensive collection of books on nearly every subject, especially American history, the Civil War and his favorite historical figure, Abraham Lincoln. Dennis was certainly not a chef, but he made a pretty mean breakfast. His pancakes were legendary! Please visit Never Gone to read or post a memorial for Dennis at www.never-gone.com .
