(Speight), a life time resident of Franklin Borough,went to be with her Lord and celebrate her 100th  birthday, on Wednesday, October 30 at 10:50 p.m..  Born November 13, 1919 in Portsmouth, Virginia.  Preceded in death by parents, husband, William B, sister Anne Walton, brother Willie Speight and son Thomas E Gordon.  Survived by sons Gordon Van Gordon, Sacramento, CA and son Keith Toney of Johnstown.  Grandmother to Tonya, Kendra and Anthony all of Johnstown. Also Grandmother to Gordon II (Lynda), Stephanie ( James) of Phoenix, AZ and Nicole of Sacramento, CA. Great Grandmother to many.Edith was Aunt to Cynthia Campbell, Patricia Walton and Mildred Hunter all of Johnstown, to Lawrence Walton of Phoenix, AZ and Mark Shaw of Pittsburgh, PA.  Godmother to Arlene Gordon-Moore of Chicago, and Devin Ellis of Johnstown.  Life time member of Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church.  Member of the Senior Choir, and the Mass Choir for numerous years.  She served as Church Treasurer and Sunday School teacher for the children’s class.  Edith was Mother of the Mt Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, and she was a servant of the Lord.  The family thanks Senior Life for the care and concern they bestowed upon her.Friends received Thursday, November 7th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Mt Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, services to be conducted Friday, November 8th  at 11:00 a.m., by Rev. Julius Ceaser, assisted by Rev. Maurice T. Williams. Interment Headricks Cemetery, Conemaugh.  Moskal-Reid Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
