Harold Brown (67) of Altoona, formally of Johnstown went to be with the Lord on Feb. 9, 2021. Born on Dec. 30, 1953 in Johnstown. Proceeded in death by his Father Harold James, stepfather Douglas Young Jr., grandmother Columbia Washington, grandfather and grandmother William Quincy Brown, Nephew Christopher Young Jr., Auntie Dorothy Young, and Cousin Michael Young.
Survived by his mother Shirley Young, sister Phyllis Champine, brothers Norman Brown, Eric and Nadine Young, Christopher Young Sr., Michael James, Jada James and Monica Triplin. An a host of many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. He was a soul chef and love cooking food. Harold was a people person and always willing to give a helping hand to anybody that needed it.
A viewing will be held on Saturday Feb. 13, 2021 at 10am until noon at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home. His Homegoing service will start at noon with Rev. Ralph E. Johnson Officiating. Committal will be held at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Repast will be held at St. James Missionary Baptist Church on Pine Street following the committal.
