Joe Sr. was called home to the Lord on January 6, 2022. Joe was born in Johnstown to his beloved parents Claude and Johnnie Bell (King). He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, sister and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law. Joe is survived by one son Joe Lewis Suttle Jr. and daughter-in-law Ardith Cook-Suttle, step daughter Sherronda Marshall-Irving and her husband Carl Irving, five grandchildren Devohn Cook, Asia Irving, Janell Suttle, Cordell Irving and Joi Suttle and two great grandsons. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews. Joe Sr. moved to New Jersey where he worked and retired from both DuPont and Linden Board of Education. Joe Sr. enjoyed bowling and was part of multiple bowling leagues. He loved riding his motorcycle, and really enjoyed cooking. A few of his favorite dishes to make were pierogis, spaghetti and gumbo. Joe Sr. also served the community by cooking and bringing meals to the homeless. Joe Jr. would like to express his gratitude to Beverly (Cherry) and Lira (Butch) Pridgen for not only opening their home to his dad but filling Joe Sr.'s last days with an abundance of love and comfort. A viewing will be held Monday January 10, 2022 from 9:00 am-11:00 am and a service at 11:00 am followed by internment at Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Professional services provided by Moskal-Reid Funeral Home, 79 J St. Johnstown, PA 15906.
