Kerr, Joyce Emily (76) of Johnstown, Passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2021. Born on October 2, 1944 in Johnstown. Daughter of John and Ann (Zeiler) Stegura. Preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Erma (Stegura) Mikolaj and Evelyn Faye Stegura. Survived by her husband of 53 years Bill and also daughters Evelyn (David) Hart, Leda (Ronald) Hunt and son Aaron Kerr. Grandchildren Dustin (Rebecca) Hart, Brandon Hart and Todd Hunt. Great grandchildren, Bailey and Mason Hart. Brother-in-law Stephen Mikolaj and God-Daughter Julia Woodling. Special Cousins Phyllis Mikolaj and Janet Fetterolf and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was a graduate of the Johnstown High School Class Of 1962 and on their Reunion Committee for many years. She retired from Met-Life Ins. and United Healthcare after 25 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Christ the Savior Cathedral and active within the church as a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years and also Sunday School Teacher of the year in 1983. Also the Recording Secretary of the ACRY Chapter #21 and sang in the church choir. Joyce was a Majority Inspector of Conemaugh Township Precinct #2. An lifetime member of the Conemaugh Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. and Greater Ferndale Sportmen’s Club. She enjoyed going to bingo with her special friends, PJ, Harry and Eileen. She was a hostess on many Casino Bus Trips and always liked playing games for her customers. She loved going to the cottage in Bedford with her husband and sitting on the swings watching the many animals. For many years she enjoyed playing games and bingo at the Christmas Gatherings with many relatives and friends. A public viewing will be held on Thursday February 18, 2021 from 4 to 8pm at the Moskal-Reid Funeral Home. Panachida will be held at 4pm. Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Friday at the Funeral Home. Very Rev. Protopresbyter Father Robert Buczak Celebrant. Committal will be at Richland Cemetery.
