Linda Howard-Snyder

Linda J. (Penrod) Howard-Snyder 79 Passed away peacefully on July 25, 2023 

Daughter of Thomas and Helen (Felix) Penrod and stepmother Beverly Penrod. 

Preceded in death by parents, bothers Roger, Calvin and David, and husbands Philip T Howard Jr. and Charles Snyder. 

Survived by sister Sharon Peterson, brothers Kenneth Penrod (wife Rebecca), Tommy Penrod, Kim Penrod (wife Kay), Jim Penrod (wife Natalie) all of Johnstown and stepbrother Charles Sowerbrower (wife Sue) of Ohio. Sister-in-law Cathy Beam (husband Harry) of Ohio. Sisters in Law Vida Penrod and Beverly Penrod. Children Beth Berezansky (husband Joseph) of Johnstown and Jennifer Howard of Georgia. And numerous nieces and nephews. 

Former member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Worked at Johnstown Cut Flower and earned her CDL license to become an over the road truck driver in 1992. Enjoyed being a Reading Grandmother at Bayshore elementary School in Florida helping the kids learn to read.  

She loved early Rock n Roll music and especially Elvis Presley. She enjoyed working with flowers, playing Scrabble, and completing Crossword puzzles. Although she loved all animals, she was especially drawn to horses. She loved to travel and never lost her sense of adventure.  Linda was good-hearted and never hesitated to help anyone in need.  

The family would like to thank Pinnacle Hospice and Arbutus Park Manor for their kindness and superior care throughout this last chapter of Linda’s journey. 

A viewing will be held Sunday, July 30th from 4:00 to 7:00pm with a funeral service Monday at 10:00am at the Moskal-Reid Funeral Home on J St. In Johnstown. A private family internment will occur at a later date at Grandview Cemetery in Johnstown.
