Mary Herman (95) of Johnstown was called to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2020. Born on March 22, 1925, daughter John and Mary (Sroka) Dubay. Preceded in death by parents, husband Stephen, brothers Stephen Dubay and Michael Dubay, sisters Anne Burnheimer, Helen Sakmar and Dolores Allison, grandson Jason Schmalz and Marsha Bittner Herman. Survived by children Delcine M. and husband George Caddy, Melanie L. and husband Patrick Blucas, Christopher D. and wife DC (Barricella) Stephen J. and wife Margaret (Sledd) Grandchildren: Jacob, Philip and Amanda Caddy, Brandon, Jonathan and Meredith Herman, Great-grandchildren: Audrey, Ryan, Luke and Dylan Caddy, Lorelei Herman, Lillian Gallic Also survived by sister Margaret (wife of Joseph Symon) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Over the years she served her church in many ways, most recently supporting the St. Mary’s Religious Education Fund. Mary enjoyed her time serving as a volunteer and helping others in her retirement years. She worked in various jobs but will be remembered for her years as a cheerful attentive waitress at Sunnehanna Country Club. A viewing will be on Wednesday July 29, 2020 at 4 to 6p.m. at the funeral home. (Please practice social distancing and mask wearing) A funeral mass will be at 11a.m. on Thursday July 30, 2020 at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Monsignor Raymond Balta Celebrant, Committal St. Mary’s Church Cemetery.
