Triplin, Robert Lee Sr. (83) of Johnstown, passed away January 20, 2021, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born August 10, 1937, in Johnstown, PA., son of the late John Otis Triplin, Sr., and Margaret (Jones) Triplin. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James W. Triplin, Sr. (Patricia), his sister, Carrie Louise Triplin and granddaughter, Zakeya M. Walls. Survived by his children, Barbara J. Jeffery (Robert), Robert Lee, Triplin, Jr. (Vanessa), Dewayne (Dewind) O. Triplin, John Otis Triplin, III, Dinah L. Smith (Daniel), Elke D. Walls, Dora Williams (late Eugene Williams), Starlina Triplin and Ryan Sullivan; siblings, John O. Triplin, Jr., Charles W. Triplin, Betty Jean Aaron (late William Aaron), Jacky Triplin and Clarence Pete Triplin (Loretta). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Former wife, Shirley Triplin, whom he remained good friends. Former member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Educated by Conemaugh School District. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel as a laborer worker and by Conemaugh & Black Lick Railroad for over 30 years where he retired. Robert was a devoted and life member of Flood City Lodge #371 and a member of Franklin Coke Plant Social Club. Public viewing will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Moskal – Reid Funeral Home, 79 J Street, Johnstown, PA 15906, from 10am-12pm. Homegoing service will be at 12:30pm. We will practice social distancing and masks are required. Reverend Antoinette Allen, Officiating. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery. Homegoing service will be streamed on Facebook live.
