Obituary

Sharon P. Stantz, 71 of Johnstown Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born in Central City on June 3, 1949, a daughter of the late James and Janet Gindlesberger-Weaver.  She is survived by her husband Richard Stantz, whom she married on October 27, 1983.

Also surviving are five children, Kim Miller and her husband Joe Babich of Johnstown, Stacey Bell and her husband Edward Breyan of Johnstown, Regina Manspile and her husband Tim of Virginia, Kayla Henderson and her husband Denzell of Johnstown, Deb Kirby of Johnstown, Hope Weaver of Johnstown and Sarah Wesner of Johnstown; ten grandchildren, Justin Greathouse and his girlfriend Stephanie Rainey, Ashley Greathouse, Leann Fowler, Eugene Fowler, Scott Breyan, Brennon Benson, Nevaeh Benson, Mikey Bowling and Bridgett Lanham; Seven great grandchildren Kaden Greathouse, Matthew “Fattie Mattie” Lund, Mya Greathouse, Raelynn Fowler, Alivia Fowler, Sophia Bowling, and Kendalyn Greathouse, Kole Zack and Kane Rainey; five dearest friends Susan Lowes, Mary Clayton, Sadie Graham, Ron Esposito and Patty Stantz.

Mrs. Stantz was an avid collector of lighthouses which brought her enjoyment.  Mrs. Stantz also enjoyed Elvis, the program Ghost Hunters, crossword puzzles along with coloring.  Her family and friends brought her the most joy in life.

Family and friends will be received at the Moskal – Reid Funeral Home, 79 J Street, Johnstown from 12:00 (Noon) to 2:00 PM on Friday May 27, 2021.  In keeping with her wishes Mrs. Stantz will be cremated following the visitation.
