TERRY L. WILLIAMS, SR.
January 3, 1968 – October 5, 2021

Terry L. Williams, Sr. transitioned to eternal life, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical
Center in Windber, Pennsylvania. He was born to the union of Willie and the late Virginia (Holmes)
Williams, Sr. in Bishopville, SC on January 3, 1968.
Terry was a graduate of Greater Johnstown Senior High School and Thaddeus Stevens College of
Technology (Lancaster, PA) where he received a degree in automotive mechanics. Upon graduation
from Thaddeus Stevens, Terry enlisted in the United States Army. Throughout his military career, 1989-
2007, he was stationed in Fort Lewis, WA., Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD., Korea, Fort Hood, TX. He
also served in Desert Storm.
Since his retirement from the military, he has worked at Diamond-MT (now SCS) from June 2008 until
his untimely death. He also engaged in his own home remodeling and contracting, which he shared with
his sons and others he has known in the construction and building trades.
Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia; sister, Fremale; brother, Maurice; and grandson,
Kingston George Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Anita Williams; five sons, Terry, Jr. (Kennitra) of Mississippi, Tyrell,
Travis, Tre’von, all of Johnstown, and Tavier, of Windber; three daughters, Tracie of Johnstown, Tierra of
California, and Tyanna of Windber; fourteen (14) grandchildren; father, Willie Williams, Sr., siblings,
Sylvia of Johnstown, Donell, of South Carolina, Willie Jr. (Emily) of Johnstown, and DeSundera (Roland)
of Maryland. He is also survived by a special friend Jessica Smith, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends especially at Rovida’s in OCB.
Friends will be received Tuesday, October 12 from 5-9 pm at Moskal Reid Funeral Home, 79 J St. Friends
will be received on Wednesday, October 13 from 10 am until time of service at 12 noon, at Moskal Reid
Funeral Home, with Rev. Clyde Williams, Jr., presiding and Rev. Dr. Eric Brown eulogist. Interment will
follow at Grandview Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Moskal Reid Funeral Home.
